Benefits enviroment
The EHS process has a number of environmental benefits over current methods, such as Incineration and Energy for Waste (EFW) because the process:
- Is 100% environmentally friendly and makes no discharges to air, land or water
- Eliminates the need for landfill
- The process can even recover land that has historically been used for landfill
- Eliminates the need for toxic Ash Infill
- The process is tolerant to a broad spectrum of waste input, and can handle all municipal waste
- Can turn waste into a useable product, this reduces the use of wood, and as such reduces the need for global deforesting. (More than fifty million acres of rainforest are seriously degraded-if not cleared-every year)
- Burns nothing
- Leaves no residue for other disposal
- Supports Governments Commitments to EU and global targets
- Provides health improvements for local residents
- Reduces carbon and harmful smells into the atmosphere
- Significantly reduces the amount of water that is wasted by homeowners in washing recyclables prior to sending to the waste plant. All water used by the EHS waste plant in the recycling process is also cleaned and recycled
- Is the only environmentally friendly recycling process (no harmful toxins)
