We are very aware that each community has its own specific and relevant sensitivities, and we are also aware that one ignores these at great peril. Therefore, at the very earliest stage, we seek to understand how best to both meet the needs of the community for a desirable recycling plant, whilst at the same time ensuring that all fears are allayed.
We will propose a recycling plant that produces a recycling rate of 100% with no emissions, and no residue, as it leaves nothing to be burned or buried.
Environmental impact of traffic, traffic flow, and resulting carbon emissions will certainly be no higher than at present, because one is simply diverting the existing carriage of these to another location nearby. In fact it is our belief that traffic flow will decrease based on less separate collection trips for recyclable products.
Every local community is opposed to an incinerator in their vicinity, as indeed they often are with most waste management sites. Most objectors are concerned with emissions and by-products, which are resolved by the unique EHS process.
Every effort will be made to ensure that the plant be attractive and will meet both the Planning recommendations and overcome any fears of the local community, as well as being commercially viable, technically acceptable and competent.
The main thrust or our efforts must be two pronged to eliminate the waste problem and to maximise re-use of the waste. A plant with an ultra-high recovery rate such as ours, with its 100% recovery, meets this requirement. Our plants will not therefore leave any residue to be disposed of by burning or burying.
